well, I knew it would happen eventually, my daughter just let out my entire adult colony of roaches. During the hottest week this summer, I have well over 800 lobster roaches running around my HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!

I would't want tokays running around my house either. in fact I think I would rather deal with the roaches! at least they won't attack you like a rabid dog! lol.

Ya you started with 800, but now theres probably 801.. 802.. 803.. haha. The best is when they climb up the wall next to you while eating dinner. yum! I'd say steal like 10 neighborhood cats and let them have a field day in your house catching roaches.

That is the exact reason my husband won't allow me to bring roaches in the house! He thinks it's bad enough finding crickets in the bathroom or little black beetles flying around.

I probably have about 12,000 - 15,000 lobster roaches in my garage and about 500 + discoids. I would crap my pants if someone let them loose! One thing you might try in putting a dish of water gel out and see if they gather around it. The good news is that a good cold snap will wipe them out, the bad news is it's still July.

Whatever you do...don't do that unless you need an excuse for buying a new vacuum!! My parents had a bunch of crickets escape, and they thought it would be a good idea to use the vacuum. They had to throw it out, it was so nasty.

oh I used the vaccuum when my dogs let out 1500 crickets, but only for one reason, at the threshold of every door in my apartment and my front door, there is roach gel. This stuff is toxic to sny bug it touches, I would find a pile of dead crickets in front of the door every 2 hours, and looks like it's working on the roaches too. I will not feed any of these possibly toxic roaches to my animals of course, last thing I need is geckos dropping too!!!. I have only found a few, maybe like a dozen at most. They get thrown outside cause they're always twitching. we're also in the hottest week that we've had all summer!! Just my luck.oh well, I guess I have to buy more crickets till the colony gets back up again.

Ya know, you could get about 19 tokays and let them free in your house.You could stay in a hotel then come back and grab the tokays then sell them to a breeder or someone that wants them lol

actually I haven't seen any roaches since my last post. I think they're all gone, cause no one else has seen them either...wierd. Maybe they went to the river.
