Giant mealworms

So I had a good amount of giant mealworms pupate....around 90 beetles. Everything I have read about these guys says that they can't pupate and even if they do the beetles don't do well and are sterile. Well I decided to try my luck..... All 90 something beetles survied. They have been mating and when I was cleaning bins I saw whole lot of baby worms. Has anyone else had success and what are the odds that these won't just turn out to be normal sized worms? I have a picture of a normal mealworm beetle next to one of the "giant" beetles for a size comparison.

From everything I know about them (which isn't much) they are just regular mealworms (and beetles) that have excessive amounts of growth hormone in them.

Nah, since it's not a genetic thing, the next generation of worms should be regular size again. Unless you are feeding them a diet with the extra growth hormones.

What company supplies your mealies(either on the cup or ask the store) you could always contact them for more information on how they produce their mealies. I know its not important but its good knowledge.
