1. So is it possible for an "oversized gecko" to make some "oversized geckos" just like him, without him being "Giant"? YES!

2. Or is it more likely that I just have "bigger" hatchlings that will level out into normal size and weight as adults? It's possible, but I've found that these big ones produce big babies, too.

3. If his large size does pass onto offspring, what does that mean, since he's still not Giant? It means that a gecko's size and build can be inherent.

4. Has anyone ever bred their overly large, but non-giant geckos? Yes! And their offspring tended to be large as well.

Thanks Marcia!

I'm sorry, this may be stupid.. but what I meant was, if it's not Giant, but it's still passing a "large" trait genetically, if a person actually made a line that was fool proof in producing these large babies..wouldn't it be a whole new line? maybe we could call them Titans or something since they aren't lanky, just big and bulky! LOL

Yes, the body size can be line bred too. Giant is a co-dominant morph and that make the morph very special, but I know lines with very small leosand others with lage leos.
