Giving Gecko's Medication

Is there a easier way to give my gecko's their antibiotics? This was only the 2nd day for them and I feel horrible having to force them into taking the meds. Needless to say they are not very happy with me right now. It takes all I have to pry their mouths open and get the syringe in there. Any ideas would be great!!

the best idea is to do it like the vet told you to.

I've had to do this before too. It seems mean but you need to do it. We have one person hold her and usually she will lay in our hands with her neck in between our thumb and pointer finger. We wait til she relaxes and not squirming. Then the other person uses their thumb and pointer finger and gently pulls down her jaw. She will keep her mouth open for a sec and we put the food...you your case antibiotics...in there. Dont shoot it down her throat tho and only do it if her head is looking straight not up.

My other girl had antibiotics and she let us touch the side of her jaw with the syringe and she would open . Or if its a small dose...I've given a stool softener by just letting her lick the drops cause we only had to give two drops lol

iv had to do it. but didnt want them to hate me so i just gave it to her drop by drop onto the lips so she licked it off. took ages but she was ok with it
