glass humid hides and glass hide boxes; good idea, bad idea?

I think having a glass hide will be fine but the question is: Should the bottom of it be open to the enclosure? Like, if i use this wicked-looking huge old opaque-colored perfume bottle on it's side, size and hole are perfect for leopard gecko, will the side of the bottle touching the ground over the UTH get too hot? or is glass not ideal with some moist paper towels in there for humidity sake?? I mean, the UTH is regulated at a good temperature and everything, but when you touch something hot that's glass and something else that's plastic, same temp, i think the glass feels hotter to the touch, right? So with that said, should a hide made of glass be open on the bottom so my moist paper towels are directly on my substrate?? I hope this makes sense. amy feedback would be great!

Maybe you could put your humid hide on the cool side, or on the outer part of the hot side. That might solve the possible problem.
