So now I have a crested. *Sigh* one more species that I have to go off the deep end into. So I know what they eat. They like room temps no higher than Mid 80s. they are Aborial so they need vertical space. I have a 10 gallon that I put on its side. the tank has a slide in screen and today Im going to tap plastics for a piece of acrilic to cover the lower half of the screen. I added a piece of drift wood and a half log. Im going today to buy some moss. Spray twice a day and I need to add some plants that have big leaves. Anything Im missing. I'll post pics as soon as I set up my photo box again.

Also I noticed he doesn't stick well to the side of the tank. I was thinking of lightly sanding the sides with some 220 grit (very smooth, almost a polishing paper) to make more traction. Will that work?

Also How do you feed them the GCD? just put it in a lid? I feed him by hand a little but dont know how much they actually eat. teaspoon?, table spoon, quarter, nickle, dime size?

Oh yeah Thanks David an Tamera. You just love feeding my new addiction dont you :p Its a good thing I got you that fridge so now YOUR deeper into it too. :p

A horizontal resting place might be a nice addition as well. I made hammocks for ours out of foam sheets and suction cups. They work well and only cost about $0.50.

You can use a container similar to a laying box for a humid hide.

Congrats, he's a handsome guy!

They'll use and benefit from a humid hide. :)

Add some fake vines or fake plants. Basicly anything that will enable them to make use the vertical space. And you can stand the grapevine up if possible, but make sure it can't fall over. Otherwise, it looks like you're on the right track. :main_yes:

Yeah Im going after work to pick up a plant at home depot and Neodymium Power Magnets, 2lb pull. Im gonna glue those to the water dish and that log hide. Im a little nervouse about standing the vine up so after I get the plant and what not we'll see. :D

Quite the conversion. I was able to use some fake vine wired to the top of my cage (exoterra has the screen top). I guess you'd have to once again get creative with magnets or suction cups.

I can't tell you how much they eat in 1 sitting. I've only been putting in about 1/2 tsp of CGD & a very small piece of banana mushed in with it now & then to be sure he eats it. He's not to keen on CGD. He may suffer from brain damage from chasing crickets though. Talk about no fear, kamakaze crazy lunging. Totally different from our leos!
