Going to the Repticon Reptile Expo in Atlanta that is coming up this weekend. And I am basically wondering what i can be looking forward to. Are there generally a lot of vendors that sell Leopard Geckos at these events? Will there be other vendors that arent listed on the website in attendance? I would like to make a trip down to be able to see first hand and maybe purchase a new addition.

Hi Eric - We'll be vending in Atlanta this weekend. There probably won't be a lot of leopard gecko breeders...usually myself and one or two others. There will also be some vendors that have all sorts of reptiles...so they'll be selling leopard geckos, but chances are these weren't bred by the vendor. You never know though...sometimes you'll find some pretty good looking leos at good prices. We'll be bringing a table full ;) Please stop by an introduce yourself...I'd love to chat!

I'm going to it as well, though I will not be vending. I'll be wandering around with my pencils and sketch book, hopefully for both days! This will be my first time going to repticon. I meant to go last time it was in town but it didn't work out. See you guys there!

I can't speak for Georgia, but the one held in NH is usually held in a large function room of a hotel. All 4 walls are lined with vendors as well as 3 or 4 aisles of back to back vendors.

They sell way too many reptiles to mention. In addition to the lizards many sell turtles/tortoises, spiders, frogs, snakes and assorted "odd" bugs--pet variety.

There are many types of feeders available, usually at better prices than buying locally. All the assorted supplements--calcium, vitamins etc.

Every possible kind of housing from various tanks to all the decorations, plants (live or plastic) and necessary items: UTH, lighting etc.

There's usually a table or 2 with a good selection of books.

I highly recommend doing some on-line time before you go. Have a list of items you'd like to get as well as names of the morphs you'd really like to check out. It really helps when you're being overwhelmed by the number of options. Bring cash. Many of the vendors cannot accept credit cards.

Anyone who's been to the Georgia show can let you know if this is similar to what you'll see there.

i was pretty impressed with the show overall. I like snakes, so i was never bored walking around. They had some great deals on terrariums and other setups as well as all kinds of goodies to put in the tenks.

I got to meet Paul (bro paul), and I must say he is a stand up guy. Knowlegable, kind, and willing to help. He had a nice little table full of goodies.

I also got to meet Select Gex (sorry, I didnt catch your name). It was nice meeting both of you.

I didn't come away empty handed though. I did buy 1000 mealworms and a beautiful little male tangerine rainwater that I bought from Paul that is absolutely awesome.

Hey, my name is Matthew Kammerer. It was nice meeting you as well.

The show was better than normal I'd say and had a good turn out.
