I just got back from the All Animal Expo in Wheaton, Illinois, and I had a great time. I was able to meet and talk with several fellow breeders, including Jeremy Letkey, Shawn Aubrey, Desire' Zizzo & Ed Sommers, and Brian Ortegel. All of them have beautiful animals. Anywho, I just wanted to say that working with awesome geckos is awesome in its own right. But getting to know awesome people who also love working with awesome geckos is even more awesome. Wow, that's a lotta awesome.
I also wanted to say thanks to Jeremy for sharing his table with me. Jeremy Letkey, you're my hero.

Hey Michael. It would have been great to have seen you there, too. Check out www.allanimalexpo.com for more info on those shows. Also, they're doing a fall show in Monona this year. I think it's on the 11th of November. Any chance you'll make it?

It was amazing getting to meet you Jason! Even better yet standing next to you! Was also fun getting our table next to Jeremy, he's always so fun to talk to.

You going to continue coming to the shows now?

Thanks for the link! I might not make it to NARBC and if I don't I'm definitely going to the Monona show. I went last year on my birthday (Nov. 5th) and really enjoyed it. It's a small show, but I think that's why I like it.

2leos83, there's show information at Crested Gecko Dot Com...

I've been meaning to ask on this forum how the All Animal Expo was. I've always gone to the Reptile Swap in Streamwood Illinois but since they closed it I haven't gone anywhere else. By the way how was it? How does it compare to the Reptile Swap?

Exactually the same. I've vended at both and in all honestly, same vendors, same...everything. The building is a bit nicer and I believe there are more tables inside now for more vendors. I love doing the Lee's show, but as Jeremy and Now I am realizing, it's not really the place for "nice" leopards. Throw some normals and albinos on your table for 15 bucks and they will go. Everyone who goes through there are looking cheap cheap cheap!

Some guy was going to trade me two bearded dragons for two of my leos. I said sure, but then quickly found out he had the intent on putting my babies in with his adult beardeds. I told him to give me back my babies! lmao.

Aw shucks, I missed all the fun. I was hoping to make it down to see all you nice people, but I've been sick as a dog this past week and am just starting to get caught up now. Blah. Maybe next time. I'm glad you all had a good time though! It's nice to hear that there's a growing gecko crowd down there

I might make it to a couple of more Saturday shows. I'll have to see how busy I am this fall.

Well gee wiz, schucks...

Jason it was great to get to b.s. with you all day. Anytime that you can just talk geckos all day long, with someone else that is actually interested, it's a good day. That is why I love this community. It was also good to see Desire', Ed, Shawn and Brian. Can't wait to do it all again next week.

This makes me look forward to the after show gathering at Tinley even MORE! See you all there.
