Are there any good thermostats that any1 recommends for a 10-20 bin rack system? The place i want to buy my rack system from want $100 for 1 digital thermostat. Are there any others out there that are cheaper & reliable? Please Help! :help: Thanks!

I love my Herpstats, and last I looked they were only a bit over $100 (but that was awhile ago). I fully recommend you get a proportional thermostat versus and on/off. I wasn't a fan of the Helix...but some people love them.

There are cheaper on/offs out there, but I've never tried them.

I have Helix, three of them, they are flawless.
I would like to try a Herpstat though.

I have 2 Helix and 1 Herpstat. I have had the Helix for years and needed another thermostat and decided to go with the Herpstat and I like it a lot more than the Helix.

Yeah, that's probably your lowest cost bet for a really good therm. :main_yes:

Thanks For Everyones replies. I've decided to go the extra penny and buy through http://www.boaphileplastics.com/ me and my friend are buying double so the thermostat will cost $90 shipped. I am also buying double of the 10 shoe box rack system (the cheapest 1 on the site). It will cost $189 each shipped. If any1 has had any problems or success with these products please PM me. Do not reply on here tho.

I have a 10 gal with a zoomed uth, look slike from what i have read that a thermostat will cost ~$100 (everything including my gecko was less than $100) so spending much more than $30 is where i draw the line so,

are there any cheaper thermostats designed for single tanks or is a rheostat that most cost effective way for me to go to regulate temp????

Thermostats are generally more expensive than rheostats. I know people that use rheostats just fine on single tanks.
