Does anyone know a good breeder/website to get a giant or a super giant breed? I know Ron over at leopardgecko.com has some but they are a bit pricey especially since I'm only wanting one as a pet and not for breeding.

We have a few left from last season. Alberto from A&M Gecko and Matt SaSobek always has a good selection of giants as well.

Thanks for the tip. It is a nice looking gecko but this forum won't let me post a reply to that thread.. It says

"xboxmember1978, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

."

I don't understand why it wont let me post cause I have a few questions to ask the seller

Thanks for the info. I see that you have some jungle giants and I have a question. When was the last time the specs info page for each gecko was last updated?, especially the weight specs or is all the info current?

The data is 2-4 weeks old depending on the gecko. We're planning another update soon. We try to every 3-4 weeks.

If you need anything, shoot us an email.

Oh. I was hoping the info was a bit out of date. Please don't get me wrong when I say this and I'm not trying to be rude but if that info is pretty current then those giant breeds that you have are very small for being giants. How sure are you that those are giants? cause at 6 months old they should be alot closer to the mid 50's to low 60's grams by that age..Low-Mid 30 grams isnt a bad weight for 6 months old if they are normal's and not giants or super giants.

I'm no expert by no means but I do however have a female albino jungle giant and a possible super giant male that were both way over 50 grams at 6 months of age.

Infact going over my records for Mimzy and Rocco, Mimzy was at 53 grams and Rocco was 58 grams by their 6 month b-day and please once again I'm not trying to be rude but just saying what I know to be true from my own experience with giant breeds and from what research I have done.

May I please have some more info like length, weight and morph? If possible please send me a link to some pix. I'm looking for a giant or super giant thats atleast 10 inches long or if I get a younger gecko that hasn't yet leveled out on length I would like one very close to the 10 inches cause then it would be a high chance of being 10 or longer by the time he/she is full grown

I know you're not trying to be rude, but you need to understand that every gecko grows at a different rate. Just because yours are that size, it doesn't mean everyone's have to be. We had a giant female that grew 20g in one month before. We've also had non giants gain nearly 20g in one month. One of our hold back giants is big for her age right now. She's 49.6g and 4.5 months old. Again that doesn't say much because our very first hatchling that was a non giant hit 50g in 4 months time (http://www.ryanroth.com/leos/info_baby.html).

New Weights
JGA-070507 (6.5mo) 45.8g
JGA-071807 (6mo) 42.2g
JGA-090307 (4.5mo) 39.5g -clutchmate to the big girl mentioned above

You can see a big difference between the clutches. Also, their parents are 88g (Mom) and 103g (Dad). Their Mother always hangs in the high 80s even when laying, and their Dad was at 108g before. Again though, we had non giants hit 110g and 112g before. I know others on the forum here who have normal males bigger than "super" giants.

I'm not sure how many leos you own, but we have a good 75 here. When we started a few years back and just had a few it was easy to grow our hatchlings up very fast because they had more individual care. Now that we're hatching out a ton more, I'm sure others would agree when I say I wish we had more time to give everyone more individual care. I'm not saying we don't give everyone great care, we're pretty well know for having some fat geckos, but we just don't have the time like we did with only a few.

I'm not trying to be rude back, but I would have appreciated an email or PM instead of you bringing this up on a public forum.

Thanks for the reply. I understand that every gecko grows at a different rate then others but I was even taking that into consideration when I said what I did. I was looking at your photo's and the weight and I could clearly see that your geckos were not skinny and that would mean that their weight is just about right for the length of them., and having said that it's easy to see that the length of your giants for 6 months old look more like a normal morph then a giant and thats the only reason why I said what I did.

Infact I didnt think I said anything that was inappropriate for a puplic forum and I understand that just because both of my leos were big doesnt mean all will be but if you look at 98% of other sites that sell giant breeds they will all be bigger at 6 months old then yours and thats another reason why I said what I did.

I didn't mean to come accross like a butthead..lol.. it's just that most people like myself that want to invest the money into a giant want to get a giant and not a gecko thats 1/8 of an inch bigger then normal and by no means am I saying that yours will be only that much bigger but think about it. If you had a chance to buy a giant from someone and both had a 6 month old but one was alot bigger wouldnt you buy the bigger one since it has a higher chance of getting bigger then a normal morph?

When I saw your giants and looked at the age and weight and photo's it just seemed like I had to ask you if you were sure if they were giants cause they didn't look like it to me, that's all
