Thanks for the reply. I understand that every gecko grows at a different rate then others but I was even taking that into consideration when I said what I did. I was looking at your photo's and the weight and I could clearly see that your geckos were not skinny and that would mean that their weight is just about right for the length of them., and having said that it's easy to see that the length of your giants for 6 months old look more like a normal morph then a giant and thats the only reason why I said what I did.

Infact I didnt think I said anything that was inappropriate for a puplic forum and I understand that just because both of my leos were big doesnt mean all will be but if you look at 98% of other sites that sell giant breeds they will all be bigger at 6 months old then yours and thats another reason why I said what I did.

I didn't mean to come accross like a butthead..lol.. it's just that most people like myself that want to invest the money into a giant want to get a giant and not a gecko thats 1/8 of an inch bigger then normal and by no means am I saying that yours will be only that much bigger but think about it. If you had a chance to buy a giant from someone and both had a 6 month old but one was alot bigger wouldnt you buy the bigger one since it has a higher chance of getting bigger then a normal morph?

When I saw your giants and looked at the age and weight and photo's it just seemed like I had to ask you if you were sure if they were giants cause they didn't look like it to me, that's all
Well, I 100% trust Alberto for selling the pair to us as giants. They're both huge and have always had the long tail and lanky look. I'm sorry that 2 out of our 10 giants that we hatched this year aren't as big as you see fit.

I agree with Ryan !

Some giants only get 70-80 grams, while others hit 120 and the same goes for SG.... some hit 80-90, others hit 130+. Some normals dwarf giants in wieght, but the giant gene only gets passed from giants so the story goes.

I agree with the both of you too. Some giants dont never get to giant status and some people dont care if they pay for a giant breed but only get normal weight and length gecko cause they can breed the giant gecko and have babies that are huge and much bigger then the parents cause even though the parents are small giants they still have the giant trait but in my situation I don't plan to breed so when I toss the money for a giant or super giant I expect and want to get a big gecko that I paid for

hmm why limit it to just giants...sounds like u just want a big gecko....figure out a weight you want and look at peoples sites and auction/classified sites for animals that meet your criteria. the giant gene throws too many variations for you to be so picky. also if ron has what you want you should get it....if you get something else and its not what you want then you will be kicking yourself and still out a decent amount of money...also remember there is a wanted forum in the classified section might try that as well.

This thread is somewhat of a trainwreck. Granted, no one got hurt, but if one wishes to discuss "Giant" genetics, please feel free to start a thread in the "Morphs & Genetics" forum. Also, it would be best, as Ryan already suggested, to keep correspondence regarding potential and pending transactions private.

I am locking the thread.
