Alrighty, so I got my scale today.... People in Walmart were probably looking at me and my boyfriend like we were freaks. Lol! Anyways, that is a whole other story... So I weighed both Kiya and Ares today. I am wondering if their weight is normal for their ages.

Unforunetly I can only give an estimate on Ares' age, I bought him from his previous owner, and I am not sure how long he had had him for. I think he is at least 3 years old, if not more... he weighs 73g

Kiya, my female who has stopped eating for a while weighs 65g and she is almost a year old. ^^

So, what do you all think? :)

Hey Jessie.

Could you give me a link to the scale you bought?
Even a brand would be very helpful.

If you don't mind, telling me the price at Wal-Mart too.

Thanks,
Wreptile

Sure, no problem! It is a digital scale.
Made by Taylor (tis what it says on the box)
It was $20.00 CDN

Those sound like perfectly normal weights to me. Every gecko is different though, it's easier to tell if they're a healthy weight by looking at them. Scales are great to check for sudden changes in weight. Some adult geckos will be obese at 60g and some would be very underweight. There's not really a "normal" or "average" weight, it just depends on their body structure.
