Hello,

Since i can't really figure out to check if there's eggs by looking in the back, i thought a gravid female should take a few grams, isn't it? It's been 15days the mating happened and her weight didn't change... Another advice : I've separated the male/female after that, if i want them to be mating again, should i insert the male in the female enclosure or rather the male in the female enclosure?

Thanks.

They dont always gain, because the eggs are taking from their resources.
They wont need to mate again, she can retain his sperm for several clutches.

Some breeders place the females in the male's enclosure, and others the other way around. Ron tremper recommends the first in his book. I prefer the latter as the female seems to get less stressed in her own enclosure. Both work. When ready I think they'll even mate in your hand:) I also like to stick around when they're introduced. This way, in case of aggression, I can separate them immediately to prevent injuries. If I remember correctly, in his book he also recommends reintroducing a second time after 3 to 4 weeks. Make sure the female is receptive.

That's what I did.. I waited some time then reintroduced.. However she violently refused him, and surprisingly he didn't insist. She still barely eat anything.. And the other female pooped in her lay box -.-

Another thing : Since that female barely ate, and therefore didn't had vitamin/calcium supplement, I added very little amount of reptivite to the calcium dish and mixed it well. Good idea (I hope)? And since she doesn't eat much, should I better give more (super) worms than cricket (since she will loose much weight..)?

Good idea. I mix my vitamin and calcium powder together and keep a dish of it in my tubs at all times. As far as food, your gecko should start eating normally once she lays her egg/s. You can offer her supers or crickets to see if she will eat. Supers will help her gain some weight back a little faster than crickets in between clutches (IMO)

I know :( I had her like that, didn't notice at first since I was a complete beginner. Saw the male biting her toes while mating, I'm guessing this could be the cause.

She started digging, so eggs before Monday? Should I see them in the vermiculite or should I dig a bit? She eats a (very) little of everything.

However the other female refuse superworms, ignored mealworms but jump in cricket, she ate a lot! Should I dust every single cricket with my mix?

I mean it's not going to be too much (of d3)? The male still didn't eat anything, it's been 3 weeks at least.. Shaking his tail VERY often but no mating...
