Heres my gravid female who had her "Pre Lay" Shed a few days ago. I heard they usually lay there eggs 6 days before after shedding so ill call it a pre lay shed. She is so fat she is about to explode! She bred 2 weeks ago and im hoping she should lay in the next few days. Do you guys think she looks gravid?

Have to see the under belly to tell. I chose not to handle mine when they are getting close to laying as to not stress them out as much but others may.

haha it looks like she's saying leave me alone you're letting my heat out!!! :) I can't really tell if she is gravid from this pic but some females will show the eggs on the side belly when they are close to laying. It will look kinda pink/translucent.

Pardon my asking, but is that lay box moist? I can't tell from the picture. And I'm sorry, I'm unable to tell if she's gravid without turning her belly up to look.

Mine layed infertile eggs and right before she layed her belly touched the ground even when she was standing tall, so if her belly is dragging then she's probably close, but it's hard to say. I was also wondering, is her laybox medium moist?

Can't tell whether she is gravid or not without looking at her belly from the side or below.. you'll see big white lumps when they're close to laying and in my experience, shedding and laying eggs isn't necessarily coorelated. Also, the moist box looks pretty dry, they don't like to lay unless it's nice and moist :) Hope you see some eggs soon!

Just make it wet enough to where it clumps up well but does not drip water when you clump it into a fist. I use coco fiber too and it will usually stay moist for a few days .
