Gravid??

I have 2 female leos (yes I am sure they are both female). Recently one has gotten a fat belly, her tail has gotten a bit smaller. She has been acting just fine until yesterday. She has seemed a little less energetic and yesterday she hung out in the humid hide all day and today she hung out in the corner where they "do their business" most of the day. At lunch she was licking at the base of her tail. Her belly did seem to be round in the middle, but is now more round right in front of her rear legs. I flipped her over and it sure looks like there are eggs in there. Will she lay them without a problem?? I am concerned because she is not acting herself. I had my dog in for bloodwork today and the vet said I could bring her in for a look if she didn't seem ok soon. How long will this last? What are warning signs that I should take her to the vet? We lost one leo not too long ago, I can't lose another! Thanks.

Did you try to breed her?Did you buy her as an adult and did the breeder or previous owner try to breed her?And do you have pictures?
Because this can help and answer. If she has a loss of appetite then she is probably gravid.

no, i did not try to breed her. As I said, I only have 2 females. We got her when she was just a tiny little thing at ********. Thank was January 16th, 2007. She has not eaten in almost a week. I just searched pictures online and it sure looks like there are eggs in there for sure!

she could have eggs in her. they are would be fetile but she may lay eggs for you. it's not uncommon for adult leos bred or not to lay eggs
