I went to clean out a humid hide today and noticed the bottom was stained green!!!
It's from the moss bedding made by Flukers.
I'm sure it's perfectly harmless to animals but it sure stains everything it comes in contact with.
I didnt want to throw it out, so I put it in a collender and washed it with warm water. Green water came out for a long time before it was finally clear.
It even stained my sink green!!!
I'm sure this is no health risk or concern because I trust Flukers, but just keep it in mind that the stains are really hard to get out (I had to use bleach). It's still a nice produce because it's so soft and holds moisture pretty well.
So, I will continue to use it, but from now on, I will wash it first.
