Greetings fellow Gecko-junkies. As of yesterday I'm the proud Daddy of an 8 month old Leo I named Neo. For nearly a year I've been doing my research on Leos and yesterday I finally pulled the trigger. For nearly 15 years I cared for Iguanas of many different types but when I married my Wife we gave them up to various friends. 10 years later I'm back in the game but this time, I'm going with the Gecko. All my research indicated a Leo would be the best fit for me/us. Hopefully, as time passes I'll learn enough to feel comfortable adding more to the family but for now, my Neo is just perfect for me/us. I posted some pics of my fat little guy below. I'm not quite sure to figure out the details of his particular breed-type but am hoping some of you guys can provide some input. Thanks in advance!

Thanks by the way for the incredible amount of helpful information provided here at GeckoForums.net. Without this site I doubt I would feel comfortable enough to move forward. I look forward to making some new friends and learning even more about these incredible little animals.

See ya' 'round!

Welcom to GF. It's a little hadr to tell from the lighting and the angle, but your leo (and he is very nicely fat) is probably a hypo (few spots, but some) maybe tang (if he's really orange you could say "tang") and may have a carrot tail, at least it looks that way in the third picture. If you can take a picture from above in natural lighting it will be easier to tell.

Thanks for the reply Aliza! I was thinking he may be a carrot tail but I've not seen many pics of Leo carrot tails so I was unsure. His tail is huge that's for sure. I'm guessing hypo is correct however. Few spots, mostly on his head and tail. Not so much on his back. I will get some more pics in natural light and post 'em up. Thanks again for the info... and the welcome!
