Grunting?

I have a massive normal male (age unknown) who weighs about 110g +, and sometimes he just grunts. He kinda quickly bends his back sideways (kinda like an "s") and as he does that he lets out a pretty loud grunt. I dont think its cause hes frightened, cause even in the middle of the night, when im lying in bed doing nothing, I'll hear a little grunt. I dont really know whats causing him to do this, any ideas?

Some geckos are noisier than others. I did have a gecko last winter make grunting noises whenever I picked him up and I also noticed that his nostrils were plugged. He turned out to have an upper respiratory infection and after treatment with antibiotics he's fine. He was about 67 grams in Feb. and now he's up to 80.

I have a male gecko that does something similar - bending the body like "S" or "C", then let out a loud squeak (instead of grunt). He is so loud that I can hear him from a different room! He usually does it when he wakes up in the evening, I'm just reading that as a stretch and yawn.
