Gustav - no power soon

Hey, I live in Louisiana, and while I'm not as far down as New Orleans, Gustav is still going to be really bad here and we expect to be without power for about a week.

So I'm wondering, will my Leo be fine for that long without a heat pad, and the same for my dubia roaches.

It WILL get hot in the house so I'm not sure heat will be too much of a problem. My mother is on some kick where she is always cold so the house easily gets into the lower 80's with the air only coming on every so often, so without it at all it can probably get to the upper 80s.

I figured the Dubia would be fine for a while without minimal heat, but I dont want my Leo to get sick/die.

Thanks for any advice, hopefully it just wont be as bad as everyone here is expecting.

Just found other Gustav threads, going to go check 'em out

Sean-
I sure hope that you and your family(including your Leo)are spared from the brunt of storm

I believe that both your Leo and the Dubia's will be fine for a week

You might want to just not feed him for the week that the power will be off because he will have no belly heat
If he is of good weight-this will not be a problem

I wish you the best of luck and a very safe storm season

Hey Sandy,
She was fine. She's a good weight so not feeding her for the week wasn't a problem. You could tell she was wanting heat though.. She kept hanging out around where her UTH is.

And yeah the dubia were left outside as usual. Aside from much lower temps than usual, they probably enjoyed even more humidity than the usual.

We got power back Saturday. Damage wasn't too bad considering down the street it flooded 3-4ft into people's homes. We somehow managed to avoid the flooding even tho people really close by had what I said.

Now for Ike!

Thank you =)
