Gut Loading questions

Hi there,
Just wanted to ask a few things about gut-loading mealies. The reptile store I get my mealworms from sells them in dried oat bedding which the mealies do eat. Should I provide additional gut-loading foods for the worms besides the oats? Also, should I put it in the container with the oats and worms or should I gut-load them in a separate container? Thanks!

I keep my mealworms on oatmeal for bedding and food and add in some carrot or other veggies for moisture. All in the same container is fine just make sure to change out the veg every so often to make sure it doesnt mold.

For gutloading, I take mealworms out two days before feeding and provide a nutritious chow and a healthy vegetable like squash.

See this list for a good selection of gutloading foods. Gutloading is most effective in a separate container, off the oat bedding.
