So made a wet hide into a lay box, filled it with that rain forest moss. She dropped an egg in her pooping area!? Why would she do that. Its pretty shriveled going to try and save it if that's possible? Why would she not use the moss lay box i made?

Sometimes if it's an infertile egg, they may lay outside the box. Sometimes if they're inexperienced, I guess they get that "egg coming" feeling and think "this must be a really big poop" and go to the proper place. She may not like the lay box. Or else, beats me. As I posted in another thread, I have a female who laid many eggs in the lay box for 2 seasons and since last year seems to have given up the lay box.

We had found our eggs a little late and one of them was dented pretty badly. We cut a tiny piece of paper towel and misted it with water (not soaking) and placed it on top of the dented egg. A day or two later, bam! one healthy looking egg :) Good luck!
