Had to put a baby down today...

I had a little Enigma het Patty born a month ago with a severely deformed/underdeveloped front arm, and I have been slurry and hand-feeding her since birth. The beautiful little girl would not thrive, and started circling and rolling from the stress of hand feeding. I decided it would be best to end her life.

For as many years as I have been breeding geckos, it still rips my heart out when I have to put one down. I gave her every chance to thrive, but she just would not. I probably should have done this weeks ago, but I still had hope for her. I didn't want to give up on her.

Good bye, sweet little one... I wish you would have tried to survive as much as I tried to help you survive.

Marcia, I’ve very sorry to hear about your little one. You go far beyond what most breeders would do.

I`m so sorry about that Marcia, is this the same Gecko that fed for the first time while I was at your place?

I'm so sorry.:( That has to be the hardest thing with breeding. I'm not looking forward to ever having to make that decision.
