Description:
I have had this gecko for a little over a week now and he has been doing okay. It is extremely young and I haven't been able to determine the sex yet although I refer to the little guy as a he. He hasn't ate for two days and he has been pooping full mealworms and only his torso's colour is dulling. He really like his heat pad and hardly moves off of it. I haven't seen him drinking any water and Im worried he may be dehydrated along with whatever else is bothering him. He has been licking his face a lot so I think it may be him beginning to shed but from what I have read it seems like it usually start at their head first. I'm just worried about the little dude and want to know whats going on with him.

I would highly suggest getting an infrared temperature gun to make sure those temperatures are accurate. And if they are what you stated above, I would raise them by about 5 degrees. I like the cool side to be about mid seventies if possible, and the warm side to be closer to 95.

Can you post a picture of the gecko and poop? It might help people give advice on whether he's too thin and/or if it really is a mealworm in his poop. Unless he's super thin he can live a few days without eating and may just be getting used to a new place and getting ready to shed.
