Over the past week I've been handfeeding 2 of my guys and it jsut doesn't seem to be going well. It takes over an hour for each, and it just doesn't seem like they get much in them when they do cooperate. By the time I get done with them I'm covered in the food and just all around frustrated. What are some techniques some of you use?
Since the hand feeding started I've been letting them sit on my hand, and I just dab a bit on their nose. They don't like seringe (obviously without the needle) or eye dropper. One person at one of the pet stores we visit told us to pry open their mouths... but that doesn't seem reasonable. 1) They could choke on whatever you're feeding them & 2) They get that stressed out over the situation which only makes matters worse.
There has got to be an easier way to do this.
