I can't wait! I will be SOOOOOOOOO ticked if they mess up the movie(s) like they did with the Order of the Phoenix. Don't know what I'm talking about? In the book, Cho's friend is the one that squealed on the DA and in the movie, Cho squealed. Its not right :main_no:. Why cant they just GET THE MOVIES RIGHT?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Someone told me that since the 6 & 7 books were so long, they might hae to make 2 movies for each. Anyone else hear this? Or is it a rumor?

I too am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the movie. My family has gobbled up all of the books and hated when we finished the last of them. I felt like we were addicted to Harry and going through a withdrawal. My students enjoy Harry and his adventures as well.

I have heard a rumor about making the last book into 2 movies. I have not read any of the books yet but have seen all the movies and have them on dvd. My wife has read them all. I will read them after I see the last movie I think.
I am also waiting for Eldest the 2nd Eragon movie.

I KNOW!!! EVER SINCE THE PoA I HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT LET DOWN!!!! I mean, Dumbledore... the REAL Dumbledore died... In my opinion at least, then they were all of a sudden wearing normal clothes... For those of you that read the book, Harry was a poor boy, he came from a rich family - yes, but Aunt Petunia always just took Dudley's old shirts that he'd gotten too big to fit into & dyed them grey... In the movies, he's wearing quite fashionable clothing, that he actually fits into... I mean if you read the books, you'd know that yeah he did come into some gold, after he found out about the wizarding world, but you'd also know that the muggle world does not accept galleons, sickles & knuts... Therefore, there is no possible way that Harry could've afforded such nice clothes!!! J.K Rowling also stresses the fact that wizards always dressed quite funny, wearing clothes that often didn't match... or were just weird to muggles. As they were used to wearing wizarding clothes... Man I could go on forever about how these movies have made me upset... But... it would take forever... Not to mention half of you probably aren't still reading this.

I am one of the biggest Harry Potter fans I know... I always pay attention to detail... Especially when it comes to Harry Potter... The Half Blood Prince is my favorite book & I am really anxious to see the movie... but I really hope they do a better job... In all honesty, the first & second ones missed A LOT but at least they tried... right?

Anyways... I'll let some of you discuss this now.

YAY! I love Harry Potter (all the books). The movies are ok but since the books are done being released, it gives me something to look forward to. I even took a class on the series. lol. It was a LIT class in college. We read all the books and analyzed them with the movies... :D Yeah, I'm a nerd. lol.

I actually enjoy the movies more... but that's because my favorite actor (Alan Rickman) plays my favorite character (Snape) :main_laugh:. It does drive me crazy how they changed so much in the movies from the books and I will never understand why they did away with the uniforms! There's just something wrong with a school full of witches and wizards wearing normal clothing. :main_no:

I like the books, but I have to say that I was pretty upset with the last book, and if you've read it then you probably know why based upon my earlier statement :main_laugh:. Shortly after the first book became popular, I took to writing HP fanfiction. I wrote for several years... what a nerd:goofy: but I have to say I've come to like the fanfiction better than the actual series. I'm just weird like that I guess lol.

I tell myself everytime a new movie or book comes out "I'm not going to get caught up in that again" but everytime... I'm right back in the front seat of the theater or buried in the book *sigh* :main_laugh:

When this post came up I had read up to the order of the phoenix. Then once I started reading I got through both the half blood prince, and the deathly hallows in less that a week. I just finished the last one tonight. I have also watched all the movies. Honestly though I like the books better than the movies. It seems to me that the books are so well written that it almost plays as a movie in you head. I have to say though the last book was my favorite (was the goblet of fire, before that) and I didn’t really care much for the half blood prince. But I still want to see the movie.

Order of The Phoenix was pretty long, wasn’t it?

WooHoo! I have been waiting to hear when the next movie would be out! I wonder why they aren't showing previews yet.

I am definitely excited about HBP! Another treat to look forward to (December) is the release of the Tales of Beedle the Bard (sp?), JK Rowling's fairy tales that were featured in Book 7. I am thrilled that they decided to release this and can't wait until winter! :)
