My egg has been incubating at 83 degrees for 40 days now. When I candled the egg I could vividly see the baby gecko feautures tail head ect. The thing is even though it looks fully developed there is still a good amount of room in the shell. How much longer will it take at all for the egg to completely fill up and hatch? Any ideas or is it just that she will not use the whole shell and is about to hatch?

The baby gecko does fill up the whole shell, it's just that it doesn't always cast a shadow on the entire shell.. the places where the baby's body isn't, is also where there is some embyonic fluid. Trust me, what you are seeing is perfectly normal, it's not that the baby still needs to fill up more of the shell, that's just what they look like.. Your baby can hatch anywhere from 5-10 days :)
