I am planning on going to a reptile show to buy some cheap hatchings, probably regulars and jungles, the cheapest types, because I want to get as many as I can.

My question is, what is the most essential diet to:

1. Be most nutritious
2. Have a good amount of fat
3. Ensure best growth and development

Also, what does gutloading do to crickets. The people at the pet store said that I don't need to gutload, because that is only feeding or hydrating crickets to keep them alive, but I don't believe them. What does that do?

you must gutload in order to pass healthy feeders onto your Gecko, they probably told you this so the feeders and Geckos die quicker so you buy more...

some things which are good to feed:-

- Crickets
- mealworms
- small hoppers
- waxworms (occasionaly as its a good source of fat)
- Small dubia roaches, these are a good substitute to meal worms and crickets as their shell to meat ratio is better for the digestion...
- Small Lobster roaches may be used also...
