Hatchlings are designed to be self sufficient and eat an adult diet (though smaller prey items) from the beginning. There's no need for a formula unless one is ill, though a new hatchling that is ill is not a good sign that it will (or should) survive.

They aren't safe for humans and we have hundreds of millions of dollars invested into research to try and make them safe. I'd venture out on a limb to say no.

This isnt exactly true.. Steroids are a Great medicine..

as with everything MODERATION and limited time use is key.

How ever is it good for a gecko?
IMO hell no..

and i believe OP is breeding now and if I ever even heard of a rumor that you may be using or have used steroids i would never do ant kind of business with you and would advise other the same.

I won't be using steroids on this years batch because we need to see if they will live without life support. No project in production is ever released to consumers.

i just dont understand why you would want to do this.

You misunderstood me. I would never use steroids on an animal. It was a question for input from you guys. I am fighting a new gene that is popping up in these threads. You heard about geckos with translucent skin right? Mine is the only one we have heard of living. She is over five now and line bred her young to produce melanin adjusting albinos. Similar to a chameleon but it doesn't change by environment. The melanin in these are changing by time. After she turned three the color stopped and she is now the patternless in my other posts. I'm documenting this breeding season heavily so I can see where it's going wrong. I won't give hatchlings steroids just to say I got them to live.

But how do you know steroids would help?
how do you know its not an issue that steroids may worsen the problem..

unless you have had proper medical tranining

That is an excellent question! And which steroids to use? And you would have to remove growth hormones from the steroids which requires a lab. So what about buffers? They are non-med but have not been around long enough to know long term side effects. There was an Australian magazine that showed the effects off muscle milk on mealworms. It might be like gut loading them with buffers. What is your opinion?
