hatchlings weight??

how much weight should hatchlings put on in thier first few weeks?

mine doesnt seem to of put any weigth on (but then the scales i use are only aurate to 2 grams so ill weigh it again on some more acurate scales later)

its 4 grams, she eats a few mini mealworms a day, doesnt seem to like crickets just yet,

should she have doubled in weight in her first week or is it normal to not gain any weight?

I have great variety in how much weight hatchlings gain. Currently my first 4, which are great eaters, have doubled their weight in about 2 weeks. I have had other hatchlings who just don't seem to catch on to eating and have even had to separate clutchmates when a big weight difference happens. Some of the ones who took a while to get started eventually soared ahead of others who caught on faster.

My average weight gain for the first week is 2 grams.

ok, so hopefully she will get the hang of eating in the next few days, she only eats 2-3 mini mealworms a night.....maybe alot more than that (i need to empty her tank out and see if any have gone under the paper towel)

she poops just fine so i guess she should be ok, ill weigh her with some propper scales tonight and let you know

One of my Hatchlings was 4g when hatched and in less then three weeks she was up to 12g.housed by herself . Another clutch was housed together and one was 4g and the other was 7g so I seperated them and withen about 2 or 3 days the smaller one had cought up to the bigger one and now weighs the same.

when it first hached mine was 3.3 and now he is 5 grams. he/she eats 6 kriks a day.

she is my only hatchling so far and is housed alone ( i intend to house all hatchlings separately anyway as i dont want any dominance issues)

she doesnt seem to like crickets as much as mini mealies, they scare her when they jump near her. i just weighed her on my more acurate scales and she is exactly 5 grams. hopefully that is ok for being 7 days old. she is definately tame though, she didnt mind at all when i picked her up to be weighed

Mine are always between 2-4 grams, one time i had a 5 gram hatchling
