Ok guys, a note on hatchrite and a question at the same time. Hatchrite seems to work great for my female incubator, starts out fine on the male side too, seems like the first 2-3 weeks i dont have any humidity problems, and then the last week or 2 i seem to have humidity problems with every container. I thought that poking holes in the lid would help clear the condensation that was building on it, but it hasnt. I actully have an egg now that is starting to develope what looks to be mold, but its the exact same color as the hatcrite, is this mold? The egg has 3 days to hit the 33 day mark, so im hoping it hatches bofore the mold affects it. Ive heard people talk about using foot powder to fight the mold off? Is there a special kind to use?

I actully has opening the container every day to try to cut down on the condinsation. I ended up poking a few holes in the lid, and it helped, i jsut hope i dont loose to much moisture now. As far as the desonex, how exactully do you use it?

Jsut sprinkle it on the eggs and it usualyl kills the old. I poke afew holes in my conatiners and open the lid every week or so or when I remember so it could be 2 times one week and none the next (but I use perlite).

Just keep an eye on them.

I hatched several clutches of eggs on HatchRite (got 2 free bags of the stuff at a show). I'm not exactly sure why you are having problems. Maybe you need to make the holes in the side of the cup and make them bigger.
