Hatchrite?

I would like to know if Hatchrute should feel very dry.
I am putting my eggs in hatchrite for the first time. I just opened the back and the stuff feels dry not very damp.

Tell Me if this is what it should be like.

I know leopard gecko eggs need humidity...

I've never used it, but I have read that others complained about it being too dry. I hope someone can help.

Thanks I will put a tub of water in the incubator to make sure the humiduty stay up some until I know for sure.
