I 'just' received my credit card, so now I can order mealies and such online. So how much to order is not a big issue for me, but I was wondering what site is good and safe to order online from, and what you have found to be good for you if you order online.

I don't suppose they also deliver around a specific time so that I can make sure I'll be there when they come. Don't want my landlord freaking out. XD I have never really ordered stuff to my door before, so it's a completely new thing to me.

The landlords know about the geckoz...but I bet they don't know what they eat, and I am moving out...somewhere within the month, but for now...I don't want no issues with them. *saint*

I've order a few times from Sunshine Mealworms and love the service and quality I have gotten. The closer to you that you order from I assume the better.

Do they put them in discrete packages so my landlord wont know what it is? lol

Armstrong crickets are great to do business with...BUT they do NOT come in discrete boxes. They come in cricket boxes and there is not doubt about what they are. Well at least with me they do I order 10,000 - 20,000 each time.

The times I have ordered from them, the packages are just small USPS boxes with a few holes in them. Nothing that states worms or animals or a SUNSHINE WORMS written on the box big and bold, no logo or anything like that.

We order from Armstrong's as well and we've always been quite satisfied. They usually put the crickets in a box that just says "Crickets" or "Live" on it....unless your landlord is on your doorstep, it'll look just like a regular package.

We have ordered from Sunshine Worms, and got a nice batch, I recommend them also. The return address as Sunshine Worms on it, but other then that pretty unnoticeable. We just got ours this week.

you don't have anywhere local that you could just buy some and start your own breeding colony? if you're worried about having to sneak a package past the landlord breeding your own would be the best bet.

Breeding your own is definitely a good suggestion. They are easy to set up, maintain and breed and within a few months you'll never had to order mealworms again.

I do...but it is a bit of a walk, and right now it is quite difficult with all this snow. In the summer it is fine. But I also work full-time, so I need to make sure I do not run out during the week.

I did recently buy 5 dozen mealies. I put them in the fridge as suggested on this forum...but I think my fridge is a tad bit too cold, and it is not working as perfectly as it should. The freezer freezes and then stops, and everything dethaws...and then it freezes again. Yayie for landlord buying used appliances, lol.

Yus, suffice to say, a quarter of my mealies died.
