have a question about shedding????

Okay. My girl Zig was given to me from a family member. She is 6 years old.when i got her she was kind of thin. Well now shes a monster.i provide her with a humid box which she didnt have before..anyways to the question. Ive had her since jan, so three months. She has shed 6 times and is about to shed again.? Is this normal.? I have to add im pretty shure she is partially blind, so i haveto take all her furnishings out to feed her. I have to make the cricket go by her several times before she sees it, and even then she will miss. Shes totally worth it though.!!!! About the shed I just figured it must be years of retained shed contributed by poor humidity. Am i right and will she be okay? Thanks for your time..

It's because she is growing so much. It may be easier to have a separate tank or rubbermaid tub to feed her in, if she'll go for it.

i would say that the fact that she is shedding so frequently is a good thing, considering it is a sign of growth, especially since you said she started off pretty thin. Even if she is blind, it sounds like youre doing everything right

Thanks guys, and to badkelpie, ive totally tried a couple differant containers. She doesnt respond to it like she does in her environment. I dont think shes completely blind, but she only sees her food rarely and looses it if it gets to far, she also misses alot. The people that had her before had her on calcium sand. She had a calous on her nose. Its gotten better now that shes on paper towels. Im glad that her shedding alot isnt bad. I figured it wasnt , but know i know forshure. Also she weighs 73 grams, is this a good weight?

What type of gecko is it? I find my albinos have a hard time finding food with the lights on, because its too bright.
