Have any of the newer gentic traits come out of subspecies?

No doubt that wild type geckos bring in new genetic pools and possibly hidden traits that would not be seen in the captive community. And considering that most of the subspecies are at most F3, has anyone seen any new genetic traits that have come out of the subspecies?

In SoSobeks video about subspecies, he says that what we think of as normal leopard geckos today are actually a mix and mash of different subspecies before people realized what the differences were. He also says that the Afgan probably is responsible for the halloween mask trait. Are there anymore examples?

Good questions. I can't help because I don't work with subspecies but I'm looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

Tremper Albino was found by a wild type breeding. Im thinking Mack Snow was a wild type too. Not totally sure. I also read that in the 80s, when geckos were brought over, people bred the subspecies together not recognizing different geckos, and creating a sort of hybrid gecko with all of the traits. I suppose its both good and bad, but its very interesting.

There is always a chance of hatching unexpected things from the subspecies. trick is proving them genetic. :D
