Yeah, due to noise and heat, that thing housing a TV is not the most ideal situation. I think the concept is cool though, and as a room divider with book shelf it could be a really good fit. But yeah, lotsa creativity.

The idea is cool-but I would remove the TV etc. for various reasons

One being too much moisture around the electronics not to mention the noise from the TV

just my .02

Not really...been done in the tropical and saltwater fish world for some time now. I'll see if I can dig up links. Those setups will blow that Rhac setup out of the water.

Residential Aquarium Photo Gallery.....people with WAY too much money to play with.

Case in point, I contacted them for a quote about making a 6 ft diameter x 30 inches tall cylindrical acrylic tank for a common snapping turtle. Tank was $4500 (with faux rock/wood work to hide weir [aka overflow]), metal support stand was something $$$ else, complete filtration $1800. I asked for wood framing to hide metal support and to create a lid over the tank allowing for fullspectrum lighting and basking lamps....$13,000! Great stuff, wish I had the money. And definitely wouldn't mind using them.

Very interesting concept, but I'd be concerned for the future of the animals. I've kept and raised all species of Rhacodactylus besides trachys. The animals appear to be juveniles at best. Even in a cage that large, fighting will likely erupt. I had difficulty with aggression with all species except sarasonirum. Neat idea, but I'm just not sold on it long-term [or even when the animals reach sexual maturity]...
