I have a 6 1/2 month old leopard gecko i have had since an early juvenile. It eats very well and is very active and friendly. very comfortable in an out of the tank. 10 gallon tank, the temps are what they need to be. the flooring is cut tile from lowes, it has two hiding caves (hot and cold side), water dish and various rocks. I gutload all mealworms and shake in calcium powder every time i feed it. I feed it crickets, and 1 or two store bought earth worms(cut up) monthly.

The problem is when it isn't walking around or in its cave it lays on the outer edges of the tank (very uncomfortable positions) mostly near the water bowl. please tell me if these photos should urge me to go to a vet, in my opinion from what i have read and seen, all is healthy. Thanks in advance!!!

Are you sure the temps are correct? It looks like you are using the stick on thermometers. They are notoriously inaccurate. Get a thermometer with a probe or an infrared temperature gun.
Looks healthy otherwise.

i only use that thermometer for the temp from the light. it has a under tank heather as well the floor temps range from 80 - 86 on the cool side during the day high 70s low 80s at night and 87 - 92 on the warm side, they stay pretty solid throughout day an night.

I can tell you exactly what the is. Hes too hot!
All the reptiles where I work will lay against the front glass to cool down if the room gets too hot for them. Including mine at home, the weird heat wave were having means I have to leave all the doors and windows open to try and stop them from over heating.
Also you do not need a heat light in the tank as geckos absorb heat through their belly's not their backs.
nice gecko, he looks healthy although his tail could do with being a bit fatter.
I suggest getting rid of the light and using an UTH in one corner. If you use an UTH he will be able to digest his food completely and also thermoregulate correctly.

his tail is larger then you can see from the angles in the picture, due note it is roughly 6 months old. i know the light is just for now, but it's floor temps are matched with every resource i've found online.

Geckos do lay in strange positions at times. Sometimes mine look like they passed out drunk.
