I've probably asked this before but I'm once again looking for reassurance. I just got Mandarin last week and already he's quite the eater. I got a thing of 25 crickets thinking that he might have an appetite similar to Tiamat's. Boy was I wrong. This guy eats twice as much as Tiamat; atleast 15 crickets and three or four small supers in one sitting. He'd probably keep eating if I kept giving him crickets, but I'm afraid of letting him overeat. He's only 4 months old but jeez, he's already almost six inches long. He's very lanky. I think he might be quite big when he gets older....

Tiamat has never been a big eater. She only eats one or two supers per sitting. I can't get her to eat crickets any more; only worms. Occasionally she'll splurge and eat a full meal, but I wonder; is this healthy? She appears to be healthy, she is gaining weight (is now 50g, woohoo!) and her feces look normal if sometimes a little runny, but I think that's because she spends so much time in her cool hide.

Is she still considered healthy though? Perhaps she's still sort of in brumating-mode maybe? I'm just a little concerned.

According to the petshop where I got Tiamat, she used to be quite the eater herself. Soon after I got her home though her appetite started to dwindle. But of the first part of the month I had her, her temps were quite low until I managed to fix them, so I think she may be brumating still. I just want to hear it from someone who may know better. I'd take her to a vet for a check up but there are no herp vets in my area. :(
