Can you share where you purchase you heat cable from.

I got my heat cable as part of the 'package' with my A/P racks. It took me a little while to get used to it, but I had some heat tape failures that could have been catastrophic and wanted something different. So far, I have been extremely happy with the performance of my heat cable racks.

I have found that lllreptile probably has the best prices but one of the highest shipping costs. I usually get my heat cable on Ebay and have gotten some good deals.

I purchased heat cable from Pet Supermarket. Not sure if they are in every area. The pricing was about $30 for I think its 21 ft length.

I am making a heattape rack. I have found most shops that "specialize" in Reptiles carry heat tape.

$30 for 21' is a little expensive. You should be able to find the 100 watt zoo med heat cable for around $30, it's 39' length. reptilesupply.com has it for that price.

I checked the site and that is a good buy. I can't find the 39' length locally. On the 23' (which is what I have, 21 was close though), I would have saved about $5.00 after shipping, and had to wait for it to arrive. So all in all, for the size I got, not too bad. But I would look at them for the longer length, so thanks for letting us know about them.
