heat cable

is there a diagram of how i should run the heat cable? im talking about do i make loops where the tub sits on it? so the heat is 4 or 5 inches in width? or is it just a straight line? like this :

I ran 2 straight lines on the shelf of the rack about 4 inches apart

I run 3 lines about 1 1/2 inchs apart from each other. I have Alumium tape on the botton and covering the heat cable.

I run mine straight across. You can get different watages. I use only one about 4 inches in and it's plenty hot enough for a gradiant and to heat the hide. If you were to zigsag it you'll end up not being able to heat as many bins, since only so many feet of it is heated. I can do 5 16qrt bins with one cable one one shelf. I've been very happy with the cable.
