My mom still thinks my leo would be ok for a week without power. If I could order it myself I would. Im still trying to get their approval of a new thermometer. They think if its measures the temperature 10 degrees off and takes a day to find the temperature its still ok :main_rolleyes:
I might have to wait awhile to get the heat packs after I buy the thermometer if I ever do, or they might think I am going to spend all my money on my leo...

For the thermometer, tell them a fish tank type thermometer will do, they are usually below $5. Any place that sells fish has them, or hit up a neighbor with fish!

Have your Mom talk to a veterinarian about the minimum temps a leo can do well in. Heat packs are cheap compared to vet bills too!

lol 2 dollars sooo expensive...
I think the next time we visit the petstore for mealworms I can grab one of these. How accurate are they?

Maybe if I tell her we could use the heatpacks also and that its not just for my leo.

I have a bunch of 48 hour heat packs in case the power goes out. Theyre oxygen activated so theyll always work and wont burn my leo. If the power ever goes out for a long time i can just throw a heat pack and my leo in a shoe box and she'll be fine.
