heat pad or heat lamp

should i have a heat pad or a heat lamp or both for my lepoard gecko? i have a 10 gallon tank what should i use. also tell me what wattage of bulb i should use i you say i should have a bulb.

get a heat pad a digital themometer with a probe and a lamp dimmer and try to regulate the hot side between 90-92degrees with the dimmer dont really need a lamp, i have some red lights i keep way above my cages so they dont really produce much heat but are good for night veiwing

Also, I dont recommend dimmers for UTH's. They are not relyable when the room temp changes.
You should spend the extra $$$$ and get a good thermostat!!
