heat tape current !help!

I recently got my heat tape and have built my rack and put my heat tape down. I put aluminum tape on both sides of the heat tape to keep them down "all 7 sections" and there is a little heat tape in the center showing.

My problem or question is when I touch the 2 sides (alum tape) at the same time i am feeling a small current through my hand on all of these.

I am worried if I put my gecko tubs on them it would put a small charge into the tub and thus my geckos or will the plastic not conduct this to my gecko. If so how do I fix this ?

if u use any conductive material then u should be concerned, plastic on the other hand is not conductive but if the electical charge u are feeling is hot enough to melt through the plastic then u might have a problem. it might not hurt to put some electrical tape down.
