Heating feeder tubs

When you guys say you use a heat pad under your feeder tubs to heat them, do you mean an uth...


or something like this:

If you do use an uth wouldn't it melt the plastic? I think I remember my uth coming with a warning not to use it with acrylic. So wouldn't plastic be even worse?

I forgot to add, you will need a thermostat to control temp so it dosent melt the plastic!

Ah, thanks for the input. Interestingly, while searching through amazon I came across this:

Seedling Heat Mat

It looks just like an uth without the sticky side. Perhaps this could be a viable alternative to an uth that can be transferable between tanks and applied against the glass with tape. Just a thought...
