Hey everyone I am new to this forum and also new at owning leopard geckos. I got my first leopard gecko last week a tangerine morph i think !! maybe someone can confirm that for me. I liked the gecko so much i went back to my local shop to see others and they just happen to come back from a show and had a bunch of new ones so i picked up another leopard gecko. She is a sunglow morph, here are some photos of both of them.

Here is my first leo, I named her Mystique shes about 6 months old

I havent seen my second one eat yet and im getting a bit worried, i have a small bowl with meal worms and i have thrown in a few crickets. I have seen the other one eat both meal worms and crickets.. shes actually a little pig. But im worried about the other one, can it be she is just getting used to her home? i dont know ! =\ any suggestions.. she looks pretty healthy and not skinny so can she just not be hungry??. I have two hides one being a warm hide and one on the cooler side and also a half log thingy.. a water dish and i put in the same dish of the worms calcium. I currently have calci-sand but will probably change it since i heard it could cause problems with them.. not sure some people say they use sand.. so i dont know .. lol. and for the warm side i have a UTH and i have a infrared light for night time. Any help or comments will be appriciated and thanks in advanced :main_thumbsup:

Welcome to GF. The one who is not eating is either getting used to her new home or the other one is bullying her. Watch them and see what's going on. Make sure there are enough hides on the warm side so they don't have to share. Ceramic tile is a very nice substrate and holds heat well.

Welcome to GF,I definatly suggest ditching the sand. New leos should be quarantined before be housed together. And I my opinion your Tang girl looks like it might be a tang boy to me, and they don't look old enough to be breeding so I would suggest seperating them.

from this pic it looks kinda bulgey down there, could be wrong but....

For the substrate, If your going for easy I suggest paper towels. If your going for nice, tile.

very true im going to try to take a good pic to be for sure. that would kinda suck i wanted 2 females for now. i might try tile is there any that fit in a 20 gal long tank without cutting? thanks for the help.

Lowes has like 4x4 tiles and other sizes so there are some that can fit without cutting, and I would second the boy thing from looking at the picture but an underside shot would help.

ok i took some pics of the underside they arent to good but i hope it helps. I took those pictures with the leo on a clear plastic top.

it does have small buldges but the v shaped pores are not large looking like pictures i have seen of males.. male ones seem more visable but.. ive only looked a few pics. I have no idea if its male or female.
