hey folks. Just thought I'd pop in and make a post while I'm around. I've been reading the forums over the last 24 hours searching for info on various lizards (herps?). I think we've narrowed things down to a bearded or leopard gecko setup (or maybe both?). We have a 55g and a 75g that were previously fish tanks but have since been torn down. If we go the route of leopards I'd likely make a micro community tank out of the 75gallon with 1 male and a few females. From what I have read they seem to be semi aggressive like some fish species are where they need 1 male to their harem of females.. of course some playing around with the setup would likely be needed depending on varying aggression levels on an individual basis (I know I had to change around our fish tanks from time to time due to an overly aggressive female or an overly aggressive male.

Beardeds were the other option but finding ones that have a unique look seem to be an issue locally. I really like some of the redder ones I've seen.

Are there any other species that are rather docile and hand friendly and not growing to absurd amounts? (not looking for iguana's here as they get to such a large length as they age)

thanks.
