Hi! I'm quite new to leopard geckos and want to do my best to give my new little lady (who is about 7-8 months currently) the best care I can. I just got her today at a reptile show and am letting her adjust to the tank for a bit before I try to bother her any more. If anyone has any tips on helping her feel even more at home I would love to hear them. Also! I was told she is a Super Orange Hypo, anyone care to confirm? (I apologize if its quite obvious, I'm quite bad at identifying the morphs ;w; ) Finally, if anyone has any nice thermometers that they recommend that i could use to replace the ones I am currently using, I would love to hear your suggestions.

She's pretty! I'm new to this too. I would like advise about how to pick them up. And if they like to be held. I love mine and really enjoy holding her. How long can you or should you hold them. When ii got her she was escaping out of the tank any way she could. I lost her for 7 days. I thought she wasgone for good. I got her com a franchise pet store. The 1st week she escaped she was gone for a day. But now she don't even climb any thing in her home. Lately she seems depressed and sad. All she does she lay in her tummy where it warm. Have I hurt her. Please give me some advise.

While I can't really help with her behavior, I would suggest making a thread asking for the advice of more experienced leopard gecko owners who may have dealt with something similar before. As for holding them, I recommend watching the video "How To Pick Up A Leopard Gecko | FAQ FRIDAYS" on a channel called Leopard Gecko on youtube. I feel as though she explained it quite well and the video will perhaps help you more than I can
