Hey folks!

My name is Joshie, I'm 23 years old and I live in Grand Rapids Michigan. My partner and I live in a 1960's mobile home with holes in the floor that we've covered with pieces of sheet metal. Just giving you my background.

Anyhoo, I had a Leopard Gecko awhile ago that passed away. I was really upset about it and decided to stay away from them for awhile (kinda like if you have a dog that passes away, seeing other dogs makes ya upset).

I've recently started looking into getting one (or two... or three... *cough*) again, and possibly even breeding and selling them locally (because the Leo's at the locally owned pet stores here are just not taken care of, and I've seen a couple that are missing an eye - yes, it's horrible).

My partner is going to be the main roadblock in this plan, but I'm slowly working on him to change his mind (and I'll do it anyways even if he doesn't! HA!) We're having our wedding in October (less than a month away :sweatdrop: ) so I'm very busy now, but maybe I'll ask for the supplies for X-Mas or somethin'.

This has been far too long. I apologize. Looking forward to learning as much as I can, and getting to know everyone!

welcome!

Hi, and welcome to the GF!

It took my family some time to warm up to the idea of me having geckos, too - they still refer to them as "Deine Lurche" (which is a very derogatory-sounding German term for "your reptiles"). I have 25 "Lurche" now.

Hey, you might just tell all your wedding guests you want a leo from each of them; this way, you'll get lots of different morphs in a very short time :D And your family can pay for the cages (that's how I got one of mine). (Maybe you should marry him FIRST, though :main_evilgrin: , and then get your geckos.)

Oh, and if you want to sell, you will also need a website! There are plenty of people here who are very good at building one, and sure won't mind to help.

Good luck with getting back into the hobby!

Hahaha! What a great idea! ;) Yeah, I'll have to wait until after the ceremony, then maybe I could whistle or something and all the Leos can come runnin' in! :D

I'm actually a freelance webdesigner, so I have the website thing all set! Thanks though!

Before you decide you're in love with Leos (Which yes, are adorable) You HAVE to look at the knobtail forum... They have the most adorable big puppy eyes...
