Hello, I'm Lisa and I just bought my first reptile, a lovely little leopard gecko, just this past Sunday. I've done alot of internet research on geckos, but I thought it would be alot more helpful to talk with other, more experienced owners. So far, I feel like everything has been going well. My little friend has been eating just fine, and is pretty active, so this leads me to believe I've given him/her a suitable habitat.
A little about me, I'm from Ohio. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, but right now I work as a receptionist in an office. Along with my new gecko, I also have a puggle (pug/beagle mix) named Lily.
Any advice you have for a first time reptile owner would be much appreciated!

Welcome. :) If you'd like advice on your setup, you can post a pic and people can give you any advice. Or ask about feeding or whatever. People don't want to tell you things you already know.

Welcome to GF. Temperature and supplements are key to its health. The fastest way to kill a gecko is to cook it. Use a UTH, monitor the surface temperature of it warm hide and make sure it is around 90 degrees. You may want to purchase a thermometer or a temp. gun, and a thermostat to stabilize the temperature emitted by the UTH.
