Okay... so today I went to pick up Ares today and saw this (Will post pictures following this post). In my opinion (obviously not a professional) I think it is a prolapsed Hemipenes. Now, I have called around all different vets to see what I can do to make him comfortable until I am able to get him to a vet, however most of them won't give me ideas without seeing him. It's a liability apparently. Vets in my city turned me away because none deal with reptiles. I have every intention of bringing him to a vet as soon as I can arrange a way to get there (nearest Herp vet is 4 hours away).
I would like some feedback from you guy's (as you have been with me through everything with Kiya) on other things that may work better, or just as well until I am able to get him to the vet. So far I have been keeping the area as moist as I can with vaseline and cool water rinses with a little sugar added.
ALSO, if any of you have had to have something like this treated, perhaps an idea of costs or things I should be aware of prior to entering the vet. I do not want to be uninformed as being well educated before going in is what is best for Ares.
He is not acting differently at all. When I picked him up and noticed the issue he was still as active as ever. Walking around and being his usual little butt. The lower area of the pertruding area is slightly scabbed by the looks of it. Has a yellow tinge to it. There is a possibility this could have happened 2-3 days prior to today.
