help baby gecko plz

ok i got my leopard gecko on sunday and it is now tuesday, now its been eating a lot of food, yesterday it had 6 meal worms and today its all ready had 5!!! is it possible to over feed your gecko? should i not keep feeding him when his bowl is empty?

I agree with Bennayboi.

When your leo has had enough it will stop eating, young geckos will eat alot. Generally for a juvi you'll want to offer 15-20+ mealworms a night, and then change to every other night as they reach adult size. Some will eat more, some will eat less but if your leo wants more than 6 mealworms then let him have more :main_thumbsup:

Sometimes, a baby gecko will eat too much and vomit. When it does, it will learn its leason and eat less the next time. When I first got my gecko, it ate 7 worms on the first day, 4 the next day then none on thhe third. When you first get them, their eating habits are very inconsistent. Give the little guy another week. By then he should be eating at a consistent rate.
